Mexican Buckeye trees are great native Texas (and Southwest portions of North America) pollinator-supporting trees.\u00a0 \u00a0These trees are early-blooming, with a soft pink bloom and is a nectar and pollen source for the bees, butterflies, moths, and more.<\/p>\n

While they are not in the true buckeye family – their seed pods look similar.\u00a0 \u00a0The Mexican Buckeye trees are actually in the Soapberry family<\/p>\n

While the trees are young – they’ll likely need watering – especially until they are established.<\/p>\n

These trees are all planted from seed in January 2026 that was wild-foraged in North Texas.\u00a0 \u00a0Grown in tall tree-pots – (4″x4″ x 10″ tall) – these first year saplings range from about 12″ to 18″ tall on average.<\/p>\n
