{"id":1347,"date":"2016-05-03T17:49:02","date_gmt":"2016-05-03T22:49:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bohemianutopia.com\/?p=1347"},"modified":"2016-05-03T17:49:02","modified_gmt":"2016-05-03T22:49:02","slug":"condo-bees","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bohemianutopia.com\/?p=1347","title":{"rendered":"Condo Bees"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The tenant in this condo has seen bee activity since he moved in last November.\u00a0 Given the number of holes in the side of the building &#8211; I am not surprised at all.\u00a0 He had a sticky spot on the upstairs wall of his home &#8211; which alerted him to the possibility of honeybees in that wall.\u00a0 The spot on the wall, though &#8211; was NO WHERE near the entrance the bees were using.\u00a0 My laser thermometer could not verify presence of bees in the wall at all&#8230;\u00a0 However, it DID show that warmth was transmitting through the floor &#8211; in the joist space between the 1st and 2nd floors &#8211; above the entryway of the back porch.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bohemianutopia.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Dscn3007.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-thumbnail wp-image-1340\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bohemianutopia.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Dscn3007-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"Dscn3007\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bohemianutopia.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Dscn3008.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-thumbnail wp-image-1341\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bohemianutopia.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Dscn3008-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"Dscn3008\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a>These bees in the space I opened had only been here for a about a month.\u00a0 the comb was nice and fresh, pure white, and had a fantastic brood pattern.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bohemianutopia.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Dscn3012.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-thumbnail wp-image-1342\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bohemianutopia.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Dscn3012-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"Dscn3012\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bohemianutopia.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Dscn3014.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-thumbnail wp-image-1343\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bohemianutopia.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Dscn3014-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"Dscn3014\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I found the queen on the 2nd piece of comb that was removed, and she posed nicely for the camera.\u00a0 \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bohemianutopia.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Dscn3015.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-thumbnail wp-image-1344\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bohemianutopia.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Dscn3015-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"Dscn3015\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The tenant in this condo has seen bee activity since he moved in last November.
